Firstly named Fabrica de Confecções Figfort Lda the company started out in the year 1969 as a small unit of production for the Portuguese market with the brand Figfort.
During the years 70´s and 80´s, the brand Figfort was developed with the objective to create a line of corsetry blending comfort with design and using raw materials of quality. The objective was totally achieved and the brand Figfort conquered a relevant place in the Portuguese market due to quality / price relation. The company was especially devoted to the basic and essential products, becoming a reference brand in those segments.
In the 90´s an accentuated growth in sales was verified, due to the increase of the power of purchase of the Portuguese consumers and the start of sales on the Spanish market.
During this period to answer to the increase competitively of others brands, Figfort increased it´s offer substantially, through the release of 16 new collections each year, in the different product segments. |
